Three sets of radio booklets using three different papers for the cover, nine radio illustrations, three sets of round buttons based on selected radio illustrations
The intent of this project was to create something to celebrate National Radio Day, a relatively unknown holiday for such an important invention. I created an illustrated guide of Wells Coates distinct round radios and sent them to my favorite designers to help raise awareness of Coates' work and the holiday itself.
The radio illustrations based on the nine bakelite radios Wells Coates designed for EKCO between 1934 and 1948, each accented with a modernist design color:

To close things off, here's a look at the semi-blurry photo that started it all: seeing the AD65 in person at the Design Museum in London, England as part of an exhibit titled "Extraord!nary Th!ngs" - whose lovely branding/typeface was created by the great Henrik Kubel.
