I once had a New Year’s “resolution” to watch every Gundam series to date – an endurance test to consume the entirety of one of Japan’s most popular and influential media franchises in history. I started where it all began with the very first entry in the series, Mobile Suit Gundam circa 1979. It soon became apparent that this was an impossible task to complete within a year’s time given the numerous entries, but as a byproduct I designed stickers inspired by the show’s aesthetic for each series.
