Gestalt Print Materials

Each Gestalt workshop includes a poster to promote the event and a set of souvenir postcards for each participant. The geometric typography used in all print materials is a custom typeface created for the Gestalt sessions.

For Session One the theme of Dynamic Perception was carried throughout the identity, with the origami pajarita being a consistent element among the poster and souvenir cards. It represents a dynamic object that could be rotated, skewed, and unfolded with the understanding that it is still perceived as an origami bird. On the poster, the pajarita is rotated at 15 different angles as a visual example of dynamic perception.

For Session Two the principle of Emergence, or Prioritized Perception, was scrawled onto the poster and cards, with the session information placed on top of it in a transparent blue typeface. The handwriting initially acts as a dense background pattern for the session information, but can also be visually isolated and read on its own when studied further, giving more details and examples of Emergence.
